Razzoo’s Gives Back: Buy Tito’s Cocktails and Help a Child in Need

One of our core values here at Razzoo’s Cajun Café is service and serving our community that supports us. It’s just the neighborly thing to do.

That’s why we’ve currently partnered with Tito’s Handmade Vodka to raise money for an organization near and dear to our hearts, CORE. CORE stands for “Children of Restaurant Employees” and each donation to CORE helps a child in dire living circumstances rise above and get the support he or she needs. This includes situations where there might be a loss of home, abuse, family illness, or even family death. Since 2004, CORE has been able to raise over $3 million to help about 350 families get back on their feet around the United States and in Puerto Rico! CORE doesn’t want to see the expenses that come along with these catastrophic life changes affect the quality of life for the children. Their goal is to ensure each child is well cared for and has what he or she needs to thrive.

Buy Tito’s Cocktails and Help CORE!

So how can we help? Glad you asked! It’s simple really: with every Tito’s cocktail purchased at Razzoo’s Cajun Café in Texas or North Carolina, Razzoo’s will donate $1 – and Tito’s will match that $1 donation! So for you slow folks, that’s a $2 donation for each and every Tito’s cocktail purchased!

New Year’s Celebrations are Better at Razzoo’s!

After the presents are exchanged and the family gatherings have ended, don’t forget to make plans to ring in the New Year. What’s that – you don’t have any plans? We’ll save you a seat at Razzoo’s Cajun Café in Texas!

At Razzoo’s, you know what to expect. Good people. Delicious food. And of course, fantastic Cajun drink specials. Here are a few of our favorite drinks, perfect for a New Year’s Eve celebration:

Gator Punch

Nothing says festive like a big ole fish bowl of Gator Punch! The drink serves up to four – if you’re willing to share! – and is filled with 6 different liquors. You’ll even get complimentary beads to wear and 2 ft. long straws to slurp it down. Let’s just call it the trash can drink to top all trash can drinks.

Craft Beer

Call you local Razzoo’s Cajun Café and find out what’s on tap now! We love sourcing craft beer from local artisans, many of which are right here in the great state of Texas. Of course, we’re also partial to our roots, and that’s why you’ll find brews from Louisiana’s own Abita Brewing Co. as well. Many of our locations offer pint nights and tastings too; just ask the bartender about it the next time you’re in.

Swamp Thang

Get crazy with two of our most popular Cajun drink specials mixed into one! The Swamp Thang is a blend of our Mardi Rita and Hurrycane Hell, drizzled with melon and raspberry liqueur on top. Too chicken to give it a try? Then just opt for either the Mardi Rita or the Hurrycane Hell by itself. Both are classic Cajun cocktails you’re sure to love.

Are you ready to party?! Then spend your New Year’s Eve with us at Razzoo’s Cajun Café! With a wide selection of wine, beer, and cocktails, it’s the perfect place to ring in the New Year.

Every Sunday is Sunday Funday at Razzoo's Cajun Cafe

Sundays are meant for rest – right?! Sit back. Relax with friends and family. Eat some good food. Drink some good drinks. We love a lazy Sunday afternoon.

The next time you’re trying to decide what to do with your leisurely Sunday afternoon, drive on over to your nearest Razzoo’s Cajun Café – serving up authentic Cajun food in Texas, amazing drink specials, and lots of laughs.

Authentic Cajun Food

What makes our food taste so good?! It’s probably because our recipes are authentic, Cajun fare – as if you’re served a meal in the heart of backwoods Louisiana. Everything is made from scratch daily, using quality ingredients. Everything is big on flavor. And maybe not low on calories. (Okay – it’s definitely not low on calories!) It’s Cajun comfort food at its finest.

Amazing Specialty Drinks

Sunday Fundays are all about the drink specials. Razzoo’s Cajun Café has you covered! What are you in the mood for? Beer?  Mixed drinks?  Frozens? Razzoo’s has it all, but we’re most famous for our cocktail menu. Lots of fruity favorites like the Hurrycane on the Rocks, Wormburner, Mason Jar Chillers, and of course our famous Gator Punch! Our Gator Punch serves up to 4 people, and is the classic trash can drink. 6 liquors are blended to perfection, then served in a fish bowl. With Mardi Gras beads. It’s one helluva drink, and you’ll love it.

Lots of Laughs

When you’re serving crazy good drinks and food, you’re sure to get everyone in the mood for a good time! If you’re not in the mood for a meal, then there’s always a seat waiting for you at the bar. Sundays are made for sports, so watch your favorite team duke it out on one of our many big screen TVs. Or if it’s patio weather, find a seat on the patio and soak up some Vitamin D. Just make yourself at home!

Craft Brew Spotlight: Oak Highlands Brewery

Over the last few years, Texans have made brewing craft beer an art, with amazing craft breweries popping up all over the Lone Star State. At Razzoo’s, we make it our business to try all of these new brews and offer some of our favorites in our restaurants. (Rough life I tell ya.)

Oak Highlands Brewery

Oak Highlands Brewery may be one of the newer craft breweries in Texas, but they’ve got this beermaking thing down. Opened in July of 2015 by a couple of Lake Highlands residents, Oak Highlands has quickly grown its team and its business. The brewery resides in a 16,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility, with ample space for brewing the best beer and tasting it too. If you’re going to be in the Dallas area, head over to Oak Highlands and check out their family-friendly taproom, perfect for guided tastings or trying a few new beers on tap. With plenty of games and big screen TVs, there’s something for everyone to enjoy at Oak Highlands.

Beer Above All

“Beer above all” is the slogan used by Oak Highlands, it just shows how much they value the end product. Everyone has a favorite type of beer, and Oak Highlands has something for everyone. Here are a few of our favorites:

·      DFDub: We love DFDub because it’s a smooth, medium bodied wheat beer with accents of banana and cloves. We know, sounds super weird, but just take our word for it.

·      Freaky Deaky: The award-winning Freaky Deaky is as fun as its name, using American hops to create a potent Belgian Tripel-style ale.

·      Derelict IPA: Consider yourself a hop head? Get down with the Derelict IPA, a bitter, American-style IPA brewed with 5 different hops for maximum punch.
